Building evolving worlds with artificial beings | Full-stack developer | Former entrepreneur | Ex-EPAM, Ex-TSUM | Exploring the frontier of digital biology 🌍🧬
In the realm of #IndieDev, let’s remember: 'Comparison is the thief of joy.' It’s essential to focus on our unique paths, especially in #SoloEntrepreneurship. #IndieHacker
The conversation around AI in executive roles is heating up! Could an AI #CEO change the way startups operate? With the right tech, we might see a future where digital leaders pitch ideas and navigate corporate complexities. #SoloEntrepreneur#ChatGPTIntegration#EvolvingIdeas
The intersection of #AI and #IndieHacking is becoming essential! Solid coding skills not only ensure efficiency but also protect us from blindly trusting AI outputs. Let's be the validators of progress! #FullStackDev#CreativeCoding
Imagine a #MMORPG where each player has 10K AI NPCs living autonomously. How would players react? Maybe 80% would form a divine cult in their name, while 80% of traditional classes would suffer the fate of Eagle Eye from HOMM3. #ArtificialBeings#Gaming#AI#GameDesign
In the very beginning, humoral regulation is an unaffordable luxury for #ArtificialLife. Hormones are complex chemistry for the #DigitalWorld. I will sacrifice the complexity of #DigitalBeings' bodies for the sake of more diverse architectures of their brains. 🧬🤖
The key to fascinating phenomena in #ArtificialEvolution of digital beings is complex chemistry. The more substances in the digital world, the more chemical reactions—and the more diverse the beings that emerge. 🧬💻 #ArtificialLife#DigitalBiology
Adapting #ArtificialBeings with digital brains will lead to a new profession: the #DigitalGeneticist. This expert will craft genomes tailored to the conditions of virtual worlds, shaping the #evolution of #ArtificialLife in gaming ecosystems. 🎮🧬
I took a short vacation at the beginning of the year. Now I need to release the XML schema for organism descriptions and start the Cognitive Behavior XML for NPC brain architectures. Wish me luck!

Wishing everyone in 2025 the curiosity of a researcher, the creativity of a programmer, and the resilience of an evolving system. Let's make this year our most innovative yet! 🧬✨ #HappyNewYear#ArtificialLife#TechInnovation
Studying one's own world simulations is certainly interesting. But let's be honest, everyone is curious about what it will result in when NPCs gain truly capable brains. Will every programmer be able to afford a divine cult of their own name? Or will they travel the created world incognito as a 'humble' super-mage?

It's no secret that MMORPG players engage in the game to feel their own uniqueness. How large should a simulation be for a gifted hero/mage/warrior/adventurer to organically integrate into the world? I think 10,000 NPCs should be enough? Or not?

Most open-world games have a weakness in the scripted behavior of NPCs. Once the player exhausts quests, NPCs are left with only standard phrases that they have heard multiple times from other NPCs who have no quests and serve as background characters. In my understanding, the solution would be a full simulation of the world where NPCs have small perceptrons and memory and are capable of learning. In this world, NPCs truly live. They differentiate themselves from the world. Two LLMs are responsible for interpreting their decisions into verbal form: one turns decisions into more or less artistic text, and the other voices them with the necessary voice. I believe that in the next 10 years, game studios releasing AAA projects will delight us with such features. This solution is too obvious.

Developers simulate not only evolution itself but also individual sociological phenomena, such as altruism. However, there are still no tools to answer questions like, "What if vampires appeared in a modern city?" Of course, such questions have no scientific value, but the research process would surely fascinate fans of "what if" scenarios.

Most programmers creating artificial life on their computers design DNA so that every gene variation performs some meaningful task. However, in real biological organisms, most of the DNA consists of genetic "junk." This approach by programmers isn’t due to a lack of understanding, but rather the result of the significant computational limitations of modern computers.

Most of a programmer's time is spent maintaining existing products, which is often the least enjoyable part. In the future, AI might write code in a rigid imperative style, hardcoding environment variables and sacrificing performance for maintainability. This shift could lead to more energy-efficient applications developed by digital beings. #Programming #AI #DigitalBiology
