If this isn’t stellar courage, then what is?
Today, Kunal Kamra stood tall before the Vidhan Bhavan Privileges Committee — no remorse, no apology, no bending.
When asked if he felt remorse: No.
If he was sorry: No.
And if he’d tender an unconditional apology to settle the matter: “No, I can’t — because it would not be sincere. It would set a terrible precedent for other artists & their freedom.”
In a time when silence is safer and compromise is the norm, Kunal chose conviction over convenience. He defended not just his words, but the sacred space for satire, dissent, and artistic freedom in a democracy.
This isn’t defiance for the sake of it.
This is a stand-up comedian reminding those in power that truth, even when wrapped in humour, cannot be forced into submission.
This is Dissent.
And this is also a powerful reply to what Samay Raina said recently in his act “Still Alive” — where he revealed he was asked to apologise and he chose to do so.
Kunal Kamra just showed that another path exists: one of unapologetic integrity.
This is revolution silently setting in.
A quiet, unyielding assertion that the mic will not be muzzled. That artists won’t trade their integrity for comfort. That one man’s “No” can echo louder than a thousand forced “Sorry”s.
Kunal Kamra, your spine of steel is inspiring. Thank you for standing tall and firm — for yourself, for every comedian, every satirist, every voice that dares to question. Take a salute. 🫡
Kamra didn’t apologise. He upgraded freedom. HERO
This one is for you @ReheSamay — watch and learn what real courage looks like.

@TinyDhillon@therealkapildev Isn't it so ironic for both the country's eager to indulge in a war is also keen to play a game of cricket against each other as in where both team show an extraordinary display of theatrics.
Winning the game is equivalent to winning the war and vice versa.

No, this is not a satirical post. This is as real as it can get!
1. The current term of #LokSabha hasn't had a Deputy Speaker yet. This is unprecedented. It violates Article 93 of the #ConstitutionOfIndia & Govt is about to get away with it without any consequences.
2. The current 17th Lok Sabha likely to be the full term LS with least number of #Parliament sittings, only 278 (approx, including the scheduled dates of upcoming last session). This is an average of only 56 days in a year. In 2020, #COVID19 became an excuse to bring down number of Parliament sittings to a historic low of only 33 days in a year. We plan to export #Aadhaar and #UPI to the world, but we couldn't convene virtual Parliament sessions, which many democracies did.
3. With less number of Parliament sittings, Govt relied more on Ordinances - 76 Ordinances between 2014-2021. · The three controversial #farmlaws were first brought as Ordinances as people were busy surviving the first wave of Covid in 2020.

@MTPHereToHelp we have been staying on Sleater Road for past 45yrs which is supposedly a two way road since forever. Today a police van with 3 havildar officer decides to call it a one way road and threatening the resident local vehicles passing by on the road expecting a bribe.
When asked upon a justification proving it to be a one way road as there is no sign board for it to be a one way road the officers point out to another adjacent connecting road which is actually a one way road. Is this what we are to be expecting from Mumbai Traffic Police?
