@Abele_a The whole ignoring lack of implementation of the Algiers agreement and the actions of the Ethiopian government is evident. They never actually self criticize just seek to blame others.
@nielsonTSN1260 Just like OKC with Durant and Westbrook and Harden time to refresh the whole Oilers team and try again in 5 years. Trade em all for picks and cap space.
Is it Washington's expectation that they are going to get a reliable or compliant ally in Eritrea by lifting sanctions and normalizing relations with Asmara? Or do they think that by injecting themselves into Horn politics they will prevent a future war? https://t.co/6HOvL5MLB3

Spontaneous Celebrations in Port Sudan as Afwerki Begins Official Visit
⭕Happening Now | Port Sudan
Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki has arrived in Port Sudan on an official visit to the country, where he was received by Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, upon his arrival at the airport.
The visit comes within the framework of bilateral relations between Sudan and Eritrea. President Afwerki’s longstanding stance has been one of full support for Sudan since the war erupted in 2023, reflecting Eritrea’s consistent position on Sudan’s unity and stability.
Field footage showed spontaneous and warm celebrations in the streets of Port Sudan, as citizens gathered to welcome President Afwerki in a scene that reflected the warmth of the popular reception and the significance of the visit for local residents.
The discussions between the two sides are expected to address regional and local developments, efforts to achieve peace, and ways to strengthen joint cooperation.
Details to follow.

#Ethiopia's Abiy fan boy Bisrat Lemessa "Founder Nexus forum for research and dialogue" 🤣
This clown has never done any research about anything. I wonder why @mehdirhasan didn’t challenge him.
The EEBC ruling (delivered under the Algiers Agreement) demarcates the Ethiopia–Eritrea boundary “from the Red Sea to the Sudan border.” There is no legal vacuum, no “historical blunder,” no open question left to negotiate.
And in 2018 Abiy Ahmed himself acknowledged this. He publicly stated Ethiopia accepts the EEBC decision in full, exactly as required by the Algiers Agreement. That includes Assab, Bure, Tserona, Zalambessa — all of it.
That’s literally the only international agreement that defines that border. Final and binding. Period.
@Eskinder88@TiborPNagyJr Pathetic you don’t want to pay to use the port but think killing of your fellow Ethiopians attacking the port will resolve the problem. Please don’t underestimate the resolve of the Eritrean people as the issue will result thousands of unnecessary deaths.
Despite our political differences, @vanessatsehaye has earned my respect for exposing the truth regarding Abiy Ahmed's dishonest behavior. It is funny to see delusional PP cadres attacking her for defending her nation's sovereignty. History will judge those in the opposition who remain silent or collaborate with the PP administration while Abiy threatens to invade the sovereign Eritrean port of Assab.
After Ethiopia’s top military officials repeatedly insulted Eritreans and dismissed Eritrea’s sovereignty and after the PM and Foreign Minister made openly hostile remarks now they speak of ‘dialogue’ and ‘good-faith engagement’. The contradiction is remarkable.
@DawitAynAklilu@EDGMTranquility Ethiopia pays to use Djibouti it can afford to pay to use Eritrean ports. If you can’t get over this simple point no need to negotiate.
