@CallieNorrell @HartRollins Yes technology was on of the biggest learning curves for me! Especially seeing like other teachers doing amazing things with technology because it was easy for them made me feel like I wasn’t being the best teacher because my virtual stuff wasn’t as good as theirs.

@HartRollins It could be because I am not as familiar with Twitter, but sometimes I was overwhelmed by trying to keep up with responses. I did enjoy the limit on characters though because when their isn’t it makes you seem like you need to put more words then needed.

@HartRollins What you put in is what you will get out. There are times when life gets busy and certain parts of a module might seem less important, but the professors put those parts in the modules for a reason and it is for you to get the most out of a course.

@HartRollins All the feedback about writing an IEP and that all of us are still continuing to learn no matter how long you’ve been in a classroom.

@HartRollins I think one of the hardest thing was the learning curve in technology but also the social distancing for things like group activities and field trips for community interactions.

@HartRollins I really liked learning from all the classmates that have years of experience in Special Education. It really helped with the real-life application of the topics we were studying.

@HartRollins I think the skill would be making lists/ planners. I love making my own calendars and to-do lists. I think bot hare important life skills but the same type doesn't work for everyone. Allowing students time to create calendars and to-do lists with social and academic plans.

@HartRollins I think they should start around age 14 or even as early as 8th grade that way there could be some sort of transition from middle school to high school incorporated. Going into high school comes along with new social and academic challenges for everyone

@HartRollins I think the hardest is post-secondary education because you are focused on teaching them what they need to learn currently and HS is so different from college. Possibly including more independent self led projects and activities when appropiate.

@HartRollins I personally think either independent living skills or jobs and employment. Currently with the students I work with we have different life skills tasks and activities and we also have jobs and job training ranging from TA tasks to working with the onsight bakery and coffee cart.

@HartRollins They are all equally important b/c dif needs & goals of a student but to answer every1 in HS would benefit from jobs & employment training. I know I had to figure that out on my own & with some of the challenges our students face it's more difficult to figure it out on their own.

@CallieNorrell @HartRollins I think sometimes people over look a teenage with a disability just being a teenage because of their diagnosis so making that distinction is so important. Especially when it comes to behaviors that need to be disciplined.

@HartRollins Yes! I lived on one of the podcasts they mentioned a form they sent to parents about their students needs and behaviors. The form was a great prompt for the parents vs just copy and pasting IEP questions and expecting the parents to be knowledgeable about everything included
