I appreciate that @StephenKing deleted the false tweet about @charliekirk11 and apologized.
All of us—on both sides of the aisle—should treat each other with respect & decency, even if we disagree on politics.
Charlie did that every day, and I admired him for it.
I will explain to you why the killing of Charlie Kirk pushes me to the right.
He had the exact same views as my Trump supporting parents who I love. He had the exact same views as half my extended family. Just regular Boomer conservatism.
And thousands of leftists celebrate him being shot in the neck and bleeding out in front of his three year old daughter.
If they want that for Charlie Kirk, they want that for my parents and my other loved ones.
And I won’t stand for it. Because I’m not a suicidal spiteful mutant with hatred for my own family, my own parents, my own civilisation.
I love the people who raised me and I’m loyal to them and I won’t ally myself with people who want to murder them just because they have old fashioned values that were completely common throughout 99% of modern history - a love of faith, family, church, nation.
@webber_hillary@SFGarrett@JohnHolbein1@HollandJeffreyR The musket metaphor was used as a metaphor to defend our BELIEFS. Again, violence against the LGBTQ community was NEVER ever implied. You are twisting Elder Holland’s words to suggest that he commanded everyone to commit violence against them, and that’s absolutely disgusting.
@webber_hillary@SFGarrett@JohnHolbein1@HollandJeffreyR “My brethren have made the case for the metaphor of musket fire, which I have endorsed yet again today. There will continue to be those who oppose our teachings and with that will continue the need to define, document, and defend the faith. But we do all look forward...”
Why is it that every time he speaks about the black community he makes us seem incapable of the simplest tasks? Whether it’s getting an ID card, using the internet to make an appointment or now this. #HD51
I’m a gay man who went to a @realDonaldTrump rally
Honestly, I thought I might be killed.
...w/ kindness.
I was completely afraid.
...that I might not get back to my seat in time for the rally to start.
I couldn’t believe the way I was treated.
...it was so ****ing awesome.
