Those who assume peace will prevail while #Eritrea & #Amhara forces actively engaged to squander the initiative, is naive. Both are committing atrocities deep in #Tigray. Lasting peace is simply impossible so long as the war monger Eritrean regime is in power. #TigrayGenocide
Today marks the second week of the signing of #CoH. The desperately needed insulin and dyalsis medications are not yet allowed in to #Tigray. The health situation remains as bad as it was, if not worse.
The Pretoria deal should not be weaponised to gain access to financial aid and grants, nor should it be misused to legitimise the genocide committed against Tigrayans.
Aid should reach all places with need without creating enclaves of urban aid centers, and denying rural areas.
@ProfKindeya@ICRC It is time to remind the world, we are not counting Number of Trucks anymore; if CoH agreement is to work, complete access and full humanitarian assistance is to be provided to Tigray.
We ARE NOT counting number of trucks per day! Full access to Tigray!
By allowing #Ethiopia to host the #IGF2022, the @UN continues to embolden the weaponization of internet shutdowns against #Tigray, and as a result, "disconnecting families, destroying business, and impeding humanitarian aid delivery.” @intgovforum (1/6) https://t.co/1agJANE4tk
As #Ethiopia gov repeatedly and consistently has been unreliable in its dissemination of information on the war on #Tigray, it is essential that the #AU monitoring mechanism of the peace agreement gets operational and that int reporters are getting unimpeded access to Tigray!
Redwan's comments were dismissed by a humanitarian worker based in #Tigray#Ethiopia
"What Redwan tweeted is completely false. No aid is allowed to enter Shire city at all.»
"No services have been reconnected and no flights are allowed."

We call on global leaders, our communities, and humanitarian agencies to stand with the people of Tigray. Pressure the Ethiopian govt to ensure unhindered humanitarian access to all of Tigray + the restoration of public services such as electricity, telecom, and banking. (5/5)
Tigray is still being held hostage by the Ethiopian govt & allied Eritrean govt, leaving innocent civilians to fend for themselves and their families while in famine. Basic human rights are non-negotiable, and all perpetrators of #TigrayGenocide must be held accountable. (4/5)
The international community has failed in its Responsibility to Protect (#R2P) civilians in Tigray (as starvation continues to be weaponized), a war crime and a grave breach of international law, an act punishable by the @IntlCrimCourt as stated by the @UNGeneva Convention. (3/5)
Food, medicine, and other supplies have failed to reach an already starving population of over 6 million in a reasonable timeframe. Since November 2020, over 600,000 Tigrayans have been killed as a result of direct massacres and due to the govt imposed deadly siege. (2/5)
We are profoundly troubled by the lack of humanitarian aid reaching Tigray, despite the signing of the #CoHA on Nov 3. Not only did drone strikes resume on civilian infrastructures hours after the agreement, but life-saving aid remains blocked. (1/5) https://t.co/BRWYEPViUD
Nine days after signing the #CoH patients are still suffering from lack of basic medications like insulin, dialysis and antibiotics. @ICRCEthiopia@WHO@DrTedros
One clear evidence that the global order is broken is the fact that global actors including #UN fall to conditional humanitarian aid. This is appalling! Children in #Tigray are still dying due to lack of food & medicine. @JosepBorrellF@MikeHammerUSA@antonioguterres@PowerUSAID
Peace talks between #Ethiopia and #Tigray have been extended because of “the challenge of fully communicating with all their units to stop fighting.” Meanwhile Tigray remains without aid eight days after Ethiopian authorities vowed to lift their blockade. https://t.co/VtRH3pwiI1
We are receiving reports of #Eritrean forces continuing to kill civilians, & shelling areas around shire & AdiDaero, #Tigray.
For CoHA to be a success and to Cement Peace in Ethiopia, withdrew Eritrea troops! @MikeHammerUSA@SecBlinken@Bankole_Adeoye
Abiy's advisor is spreading lies, Mr Redwan ignored to that 70% the #Tigray population need urgent humanitarian aid,
#Ethiopia Must Stoplying,
UN says "No permission was given by #Ethiopian govt to unfettered corridors for delivery of humanitarian aid to Tigray air or road
Eritrean troops have brought their wives & family members & are engaged in large-scale looting in Shire, Indaba Guna, Adi Da'iro and the surrounding villages. Amhara forces in Southern Tigray rounding up and moving Tigrayans to camps, just like what they did in Western Tigray.1/n
This is simply BIG lie! We have families on the ground & they are telling us completely different story. In fact, your partner in crime, the #Eritrean soldiers are digging out water pumps in #Shire to further suffering of the people. STOP lying! #TigrayGenocide
Humanitarian worker based in Tigray told AFP, "what Redwan tweeted is completely false, no aid is allowed to enter Shire city at all. No services have been reconnected & no flights r allowed." @SecBlinken @PowerUSAID @JosepBorrellF https://t.co/WioSY9RW7f
