PAKISTAN: In the past 50 days, people in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir have lived through internet blackouts, mass arbitrary arrests and restrictions on movement amid a crackdown on dissent.
These measures raise serious concerns about the rights to freedom of expression, peaceful assembly, and association.
As regional elections approach on 27 July, Pakistani authorities must ensure that people can exercise their rights freely and without fear.
📢 Amnesty International calls on the authorities to:
✅ Investigate allegations of unlawful uses of force against protesters
✅ Fully restore internet services
✅ Release those arbitrarily detained for peacefully exercising their rights
✅ Lift the unlawful blanket ban on JAAC
It has now been around 1,100 days since my father, Imran Khan, was imprisoned, and my brother and I haven’t heard his voice since March. For months, we’ve been denied contact with him. We remain in the dark about his access to healthcare as his eyesight continues to deteriorate. He urgently needs medical attention, and with no family or legal access, we don’t even get any second hand information or reassurance.
I’ve found myself especially missing him recently. I want to speak to him about mundane things like my cricket, books I’ve been reading and what new movies are good. I understand the people of Pakistan want their chosen leader free, but I miss my father more than ever.
But this is not just about a father. It is about Pakistan, and its future. A rigged, authoritarian regime continues to crush political opposition, undermine democratic institutions, and deny millions of Pakistanis their right to freely choose their leaders, whilst terrorising those who speak their beliefs.
I once again plea to the international community to not look away. Silence in the face of injustice only enables it.
Dave Chappelle said "i got paid 25K when i was 17 and was scared to walk around with it in a backpack cause i never had something somebody wanted. i know they would kill me if they knew i had this money. now imagine having a pussy." Give this man a medal.

Consistent note-taking and organization.
It doesn’t sound impressive, but being able to track details, remember conversations, and connect dots gives a man leverage in work, relationships, and decision-making.
While others rely on memory or scramble to recall, the one who documents and organizes steadily builds clarity, and clarity is a massive advantage in life.
