It takes a village to make a film, we are grateful to our Behrang Stesen family for their kindness and hospitality during the making of #HungryGhostDiner. ❤️ With 9 nominations at #FFM33, win or lose, it has been an extraordinary journey.

Nestled between SK Aminudin Baki and KTM Slim River is Khai Kee Theng Temple, where my paternal grandmother used to worship during her lifetime. It was really meaningful to me to be able to feature it as an important backdrop for "Hungry Ghost Diner". #thankyou
Mr. Chai, the village figurehead, along with his daughter, CCY, runs Kampung Restaurant in Behrang Stesen. As well as feeding the crew during production days, CCY was responsible for a lot of the sumptuous Hakka dishes, which were featured in "Hungry Ghost Diner". #thankyou
Mr. Kong and his family runs Mei Chan Coffee Chop [sic], the "Happy Heaven Cafe" in "Hungry Ghost Diner". Mei Chan, famous for their handmade noodles, had to close for 10 days during the production of our film. Mr. Kong is an active member of the village committee. #thankyou
Mr. Chew owns Kedai Runcit Joo Huat, where my uncle used to work as a young teen, after being forced to drop out of school. Here he is showing us records of the Ghost Festival being celebrated at Behrang Stesen going back since circa the Japanese occupation. #thankyou
