Ever since I have expressed my interest in personal finance, I have received many questions. Many of those questions have overlapped.

The one I hear the most is, "how do I know when to buy and sell?" There is a famous adage "time in the market beats timing the market"

If you plan on using your money in the next few years (school, down payment, etc), then it may be better to not invest in the stock market. You want that money available when the time comes that you need it. Put the money in a high interest savings account.
