@LukithunderEWC@megbasham@BethCavete He didn’t really retract, more like sidestepped because of plagiarism - never has told what he would retract (that I’ve ever seen). See footnote 8: https://t.co/9j2igtIqqW
Saddened that Dr. Albert Mohler would platform and partner with Doug Wilson—writing a chapter in Five Views on Christian Nationalism, published by Doug's own Canon Press, and planning to speak this August at the Grace Agenda conference Doug founded—when Doug so clearly distorts the gospel:
Doug teaches Federal Vision, which distorts the gospel by confusing faith with works, baptism with regeneration, and the finished work of Christ with the believer’s own faithfulness (six Reformed Presbyterian denominations have called this teaching dangerous and unbiblical): https://t.co/E1S8eSvhSv
Doug teaches that the children of obedient believers will become believers: https://t.co/us4UGXPz2T
Doug teaches a model of headship that I believe fosters abuse, teaching that wives need to be "led with a firm hand": https://t.co/kgAgWtJa42
Doug teaches that Southern enslavers stood on firm biblical ground: https://t.co/3H1Bh8ofJI
Doug advocates for "godly obscenity," including putting the n-word in the mouth of Jesus: https://t.co/6fl3DZaCOK
And here in Moscow, Idaho, Doug has a poor local reputation and bullies his critics: https://t.co/fHIyHJM1OG
At the same time, I'm not entirely surprised Dr. Mohler is aligning himself with Doug, given his trajectory over the years, focusing more and more on the "culture war" and politics.
Years ago, a friend of mine had dinner with Dr. Mohler, and recalled him saying he believed that in the future the middle of Christianity would fade, leaving a left and a right. At the time I thought that was a good thing—I counted myself on the right, and figured the "wishy-washy" middle needed to choose a side. But now I realize I am more of that middle than I thought. As more people go left or right, the middle is becoming the minority, with Dr. Mohler himself going farther and farther right.
My prayer is that the Lord would grant renewal and discernment to his Church, knowing that it is Christ who will build his Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). #southernbaptistconvention #ChristianNationalism #dougwilson #sbc
"Eli’s story helps us see something we might otherwise miss: when harm is ongoing, passivity is not neutral. It has direction. It leans toward the wrongdoer." — @DarbyStrickland
A very helpful article on leadership and abuse within the church: https://t.co/MxTbhCvw0D
This article locates the theological principle for addressing OCD in the wrong place. Those with OCD symptoms need less to ask God for forgiveness for their thoughts. Instead, they need to trust his providential presence when they strike.
Switched back to @claude Opus 4.6.
Yesterday I was doing a @claude_code training and built a simple app that will do some AI translation tests. Opus 4.7 is so dumb that it built a file upload UI that required the user to type in the file path instead of using a file input.
Working on a new AI translation platform and couldn't find a suggested changes integration that was opensource and multilingual, so I used #claudecode to research what was out there and build one. So far, I'm impressed. https://t.co/O8tvw7PIn7 @claudeai#opensource#translation
@zeb_hermann@v0@claudeai It broke my preview and I didn't like that it was requiring me to create new Github branches every time. Also it lost code I was working on.
A few months after switching to Claude Code I'm now happier and saving a lot of money when I'm in full app developement mode.
Goodbye @v0 (rising costs and latest update was horrible) and hello @claudeai local with VsCode. Wow. I should have done this a long time ago. #vibecoding#aicoding
"The Life of David Brainerd" shaped more missionaries than almost any other book in 250 years — yet most have heard of it without ever reading it. I used AI to change that. Modernized edition now on Amazon. Every sale supports our translation work in Cambodia 🔗 Link in comments.
@tlberglund Vercel's blog article on passive context https://t.co/kJqtQKGoFo along with the release Opus 4.6 changed the game for me. Still run into some problems, but a lot less (though, as Claude put it: "'Concurrency issues in an embedded system' is a whole different circle of hell"). 😄
@CatalystPastor1@TrevinWax Yes! Reformation Heritage has been doing some great work modernizing the Puritans if you haven’t already seen as well: https://t.co/WR4YzsnEY8
