@lewis_goodall I'm still waiting for a pressing gynecology consultation I was referred 10 months ago. Life impacting symptoms but I'm not alone, so many people failed by Tory decimation of NHS.
Interesting presentation on EAA survey on remote invigilation/proctoring. One question asked what were the key reasons for choosing their proctoring vendor.
Top 3 reasons were candidate experience, integration and data security. #eAssess2022#eassessment
Keynote speaker at #eAssess2022 is Colin Hughes, CEO of @AQA.
Starts by reminding us that technology needs to serve learning and assessment, not the other way round.
He feels that the UK is (at last?) going to seriously move to online school exams but will take some time.
More from Colin Hughes of AQA at #eAAConf22/ #eAssess2022 Move to e-assessment in the UK will take some time, perhaps 5-7 years, and will be evolution and not revolution.
"The new will not and should not supplant what works just fine"
Interesting discussion about post pandemic university changes. Needs for flexibility in provision as students pivot to being digital on campus, in class and at home. What is the future? #ucisa22#DigitalTransformation#education

Techno-optimism is the only good solution to our current problems.
Unfortunately, somehow expressing optimism about the future has become a radical act.
@Coldwar_Steve This really got me today. I've been thinking about how I passed a piece of home cooked Christmas cake to my father through his window during 2020 lockdown. It makes my blood boil that he was alone, especially as he then died before this Christmas from Hospital acquired Covid 😡😭
@vicladyv @oldak@PippaCrerar I'm one of those families. Covid pneumonitis took my dad, literally gone two weeks after infection. Vunerable yes, vaccinated yes. Does his life matter yes. My son misses his grandad who only a month ago was sharing an ice cream on our local pier. Every Covid death matters.
