One of the most common requests we've seen over the years is simple:
More colors.
So let's make one together! π
As a thank you for the incredible support you've shown Endgame Gear, we've created several OP1 8k v2 Community Edition concepts, and now it's your turn to decide which one deserves to become reality.

The winning color goes into production.
You pick it. We build it.
@swift_reviews Not able to replicate this in any way, no matter how hard I slam. The only explanation that I have is, that your sensor lense could be dusty so it doesn't detect that you're lifting the mouse off the pad and therefore the slamclick filter doesn't get triggered. 4000hz GX Speed on
@KozyVeil For a keyboard that's not the case since it doesn't send inputs permanently like a mouse does. Keyboard will only report if the state of a key changes so it's way less taxing on performance than a high polling rate mouse
@IKARIvlrt@nkkomata@Matty_OW It's not faster. We just did some testing today. On the most sensitive setting 1 it's still 0.1 to 0.5ms, avg ~0.2ms slower than OP1 8k with GX speed enabled. 1 is pretty much unusable with the superstrike. On 3 the OP1 8k is about 3ms faster.
@bardozVAL@A_R_E_S_Aim Yes, the decrease in latency is insane. If you look at the techpowerup measurements, our advantage to the 2nd fastest measured mouse is more than the 2nd has to the 16th or 17th. But also took a lot of work and fine tuning to make it fast but also reliable
@PhalangesCo It's quite interesting if you check the signal at the top contact, slightest movements of the mouse can cause the signal to drop which the mouse would detect as a click. So it's pretty important to have a good and stable signal. Kailh GX has a huge top contact, BSPD in comparison
@youareanoname@bardozVAL This mostly comes down to click tension. There is probably slightly too much pre-tension on the switch which will cause clicks to not be registered. On OP1 you just loosen the screws below that button a fraction. On XM2 you will have to adjust the screws below the front skate
@bardozVAL@A_R_E_S_Aim All mouse microswitches are technically SPDT switches but only a very limited amount are true SPDT switches with a proper top contact (single pole double throw) Something like GX Speed won't work on a Huano BSPD reliably.
@PhalangesCo But to answer your question, no, I don't think anybody has ever used the NC pin to detect a click actuation, only some have used it for SR latch debounce (which is basically what GX safe mode does).
@PhalangesCo GX Speed mode will work with non real SPDT switches for a while but it definitely won't be reliable cause the contact area is tiny and once there is some corrosion or wear, clicks won't get registered anymore or clicks will get detected without clicking.
