@rachelsklar I'm so glad that my Newfie, Grace, and her love of books lives on in a search. While Glynnis and I have never met, we share in the great agents at The Friedrich Agency. Looking forward to the new one and another photo-op with Grace.
@davidfrum with the John Edwards case, the republican appointed US attorneys never had evidence of intent to commit a crime b/c there wasn't any. John apologized, but never thought it was illegal. They charged anyway. The jury hung. With Trump, @MichaelCohen212 admitted intent.
Former presidential candidate John Edwards was indicted in 2011 for redirecting other people's money to buy an ex-lover's silence. He was acquitted. Lesson: juries allow leeway for messy personal lives, even if the mess generates a campaign finance violation. 1/x
