Been utterly disappointing to see the reaction of professionals & fans to recent news. I've been saying for a while that football has a toxic masculinity issue. These last 2 days have shown the size of that problem. They actually live in a bubble where some really problematic notions are entertained. And this is supported by the environment & institutions. Lack of education/correction is a massive issue. Doesn't help that the legal system for conviction in such cases is broken in general, as the stats show. Sometimes it's really hard to love the game. But this is also a reflection of society in general. Much has to change. Solidarity to the victims.
