@mona_alsubaei Yes! CBAM is an innovative instrument that will permanently reshape global markets. These mechanisms will usher in a new landscape of product-level carbon prices. Do you think the U.S. will follow suit?
This account is dormant... but a quick minor announcement follows. This year I founded an exciting startup which limits the time I can spend on politics. With regret I have resigned as Lib Dem PPC for Finchley & Golders Green. My successor will have my full support!

Josephine sets a great example to us all by postponing her birthday party until we have sent coronavirus packing.
Together we can beat this. In the meantime let's all wish her happy birthday (twice) whilst washing our hands. #BeLikeJosephine#StayHomeSaveLives
@shornphoto @CyclingLawLDN@TfL@BarnetLabour Not sure when or what context I said that, but I fought very hard for cycle lanes across Barnet when I was a councillor. On this road I think the best approach is cycle lane sharing the pavement space. It happens to be a TfL road so any crossings are up to them not Barnet.
My condolences to Justin and Dean on the passing of their father Melvyn Cohen. He was an assiduous public servant who devoted himself to Golders Green and Barnet for 40 years as a local cllr. He picked his words: when he spoke it was because he knew what he was talking about.
I still can’t believe I’m writing this.
I’m so so sad to say my Dad, two-time mayor of Barnet and the borough’s longest serving cllr passed away very suddenly yesterday afternoon.
Here he is pictured giving his first speech after becoming mayor for a record-breaking 2nd time
Swati Dhingra's analysis lays out the schedule of effects since the referendum.
First wave: Increased prices, reduced wages
Second wave: uncertainty translating into reduced business investment
Third wave: Trade numbers reduced
24 hours in Brexitland: Former Bank of England MPC member says Brexit "permanently damaged" Britain. London loses position as top European stock market to Paris. Former environment minister admits Australian trade deal "not actually very good".
Brexit increasingly resembles the war on drugs. Everyone can see that it is failing, but pretending it can work is a precondition for a position of authority. https://t.co/jg1TTQfIH4
At the unveiling of Boris Nemtsov Plaza in London. A wonderful tribute being presented by Evgenia Kara Murza who’s husband is now one of the highest profile political prisoners in Russia. True bravery in the face of evil.
