In the light of the public’s concerns about our police force, how refreshing to hear that acting Chief Constable of @NYorksPolice is out & about arresting shop lifters instead of sitting in his ivory tower. Perhaps other police forces should take note!

Parliament would work better if their £80k salaries were pro-rated by the number of days parliament sits and pay them for the days they attend. It’s a disgrace that so many debates have an attendance countable on fingers. Make them attend, except for MP surgery days and leave.

@JuliaHB1 Stranded in Spain thanks to @easyJet! No flights to B’ham till Sunday. Eventually got through to EasyJet to be told find your own accommodation. I’m 72 years old & in ill health! Don’t think my heart can take this stress! Wendy
