@BCANDS1@MAiDCanada2016 A 2025 paper concluded that Track 2 MAID recipients in the province of Ontario exhibited similar patterns 2 Track 1 MAID recipients in terms of economic dependency and situational vulnerability, and that their income did not significantly differ from decedents who died naturally
@koztoujours@ProfMarkTaubert@kesleeman Your fellow palliative care nurses have murdered more patients this century in one country (Germany) than EIGHTY FIVE years of legalized assistance in suicide in Switzerland, Erwan. Have some humility like Jesus Christ and sit all the way down.
@koztoujours@ProfMarkTaubert@kesleeman There's no 100% 'watertight' safe way to do palliative care. To guarantee safety of the most vulnerable and incapacitated patients it ought to be prohibited entirely.
@JuJu4dignity@BuDs_UK These fanatics will never advocate that it be put a referendum amongst the populace like it was in New Zealand for a very specific reason.
@iamdrmarklee@JasonD60@kesleeman Or hastening death by VSED.
None of those vulnerabilities and pressures are justifiable grounds to prohibit ANY of those practices but you fanatics see it as justification to bar VAD entirely. Make it make sense.
@JasonD60@iamdrmarklee@kesleeman His opposition towards VAD is principled, not pragmatic. Even if a demedicalised VAD system was proposed in the UK like in Switzerland that didn't involve medical professionals he and Katherine would be opposed.

@iamdrmarklee@JasonD60@kesleeman All evidence from every country where AD is legal shows the great majority of patients who utilised it were recieving PC or hospice priorhand.
90% of Oregon's AD recipients were enrolled in hospice. This information is easily available in multiple studies but you don't care.
@iamdrmarklee@JasonD60@kesleeman 🦗
Fanatics. Your opposition to VAD is not pragmatic, it's principled from moral opposition due to Christian fundamentalism. The same as when abortion was being debated in the UK.
@iamdrmarklee@JasonD60@kesleeman Do you accept all the collateral deaths and murders that results from PC particularly palliative sedation being legal? Actual cases as I've proven and future hypothesised cases? Do you think this justifies a prohibition on the practice as a result?
@iamdrmarklee@JasonD60 https://t.co/5Mk7uKZf2g
One of several cases internationally of palliative care nurses murdering patients.
It's evident there's no 100% 'watertight' safe way to do palliative care unlike what @kesleeman claims. To protect vulnerable persons we need a ban.
@AlobhaPatrick@NickTaber https://t.co/lMrJE6GH5b
When this news dropped several of those fanatics on here and Bluesky were making this out to be Aktion T4.
@AlobhaPatrick@NickTaber Reminds me of the Deaf community fanatics that nearly got cochlear implants banned in the 90s because they see deafness as a 'superpower' and culture, or some inane hogwash to the point where they pray their children would be be born without any sense of hearing.
