if I am less responsive the coming three weeks, it is because I am out and about with the ladies and lads collecting silverware throughout Europe. #Londonisred
The best teams solve problems nobody notices. Ravi Nagayach, Prashant Singh, Kshitij Gupta, and the Lambda networking team have been doing exactly that for about a decade. Read their story here: https://t.co/TTPUuxxpAV
I have two tickets for "Paddington the musical" for tonight at 7m at the Savoy Theatre in London. I cant make it. Anyonese else a paddington fan? No costs. Just a picture of you in the theatre so I know you are not a scalper. FCFS.
For two decades, S3 has been an object store, but today it's something broader. S3 Files lets you mount any bucket as a filesystem—no copies, no sync scripts, no choosing between file and object. @andywarfield tells the full story, including the "filerectories" that almost made the cut. https://t.co/zrkLOZS5Qe
You can't optimize what you can't measure. Carbon and cost are the similar signal. The new AWS Sustainability console puts emissions data in the right hands, without exposing billing data. Measure it like it matters. https://t.co/69jCho8Gqf
At AWS we're big Rust users. Lambda, DSQL, S3, EC2, Bedrock, and many more run Rust code.
Dial9 is a new tool, built at AWS, for diving deep into the performance of tokio-based applications.
Good work, Russel!
A little over three years ago, @byroncook and I had a chat about automated reasoning. Since then, the landscape has shifted faster than any of us anticipated. AI agents are in production, generating code, making decisions, and we need ways to prove their correctness. I sat down with Byron for a follow-up to understand what’s changed and what we’re doing about it: https://t.co/05XzNMN0lt
The latest Now Go Build CTO Fellowship cohort is reimagining education from the ground up. They're not accepting "we can't do that." They're asking, "why haven't we tried this?" Meet the Fellows: https://t.co/QpoQiaWlyr
@CTOAdvisor@grok Given that I was used in the original example, I can confirm that X has become little more than a signal platform. clicktroughs to an article are minimal. LinkedIn (which I dislike as a tech discussion platform) produces many more readers. But not as many as the front page of HN
This is even more impressive when you know that S3 processes over 100,000,000 requests per second.
Light travels less than 10 feet in the time between requests arriving at S3.
I a see lot of anxiety with customers when it come to AI. Lots of FOMO, fear of missing out. Fear is not a good decision driver. Hence my advise to get educated first before you dive in.That there is no shame in hitting a pause button.
Partner Globant and I had an interesting fireside chat of which a clip is circulating.
And please do not let the media determine your architecture.
