@NamPresidency Seriously now, if Germany invited you to a conference in 1940, after its invasion of Poland, France, etc, would you have accepted with a clear conscience? Let's not be ignorant about history! (PS: Be careful of Mr Putin's polonium tea if you do go, by the way.)
@NamPresidency@hagegeingob Hope you reminded the Russian envoy that his country is engaged in an illegal war involving the killing of civilians and intentional destruction of civilian infrastructure. All while repressing free speech and political opponents back home.
Having carefully considered the matter, I have once more come to the conclusion that not only should the Russian warship go screw itself, but Vladimir Putin and his nuclear threats should go do so, too. ๐ โฎ๏ธ
Namibians supporting peace and international law protested against Bush & Blair's illegal war in Iraq at the US diplomatic mission in 2003.
Now, for ease of reference, Russia's embassy in Namibia is at the corner of Jan Jonker Road & Christian Street in Windhoek. #StopWar
For the last six years Iโve kept a spreadsheet listing every parking spot Iโve used at the local supermarket in a bid to park in them all. This week I completed my Magnum Opus! A thread.
Namibian media reporting on rape cases, PLEASE start to take note. From the Combating of Rape Act of 2000:
โno person shall publish in any manner whatever any information which might reveal the identity of any complainant in the proceedingsโ.
Thank you.
@Uerikoravi The Namibian publishes the names and photos of accused persons on an almost daily basis โ once they have appeared in court and if we have a photo of them available. Don't try to score cheap shots.
Having noted a hysterical rush to judgement against @TheNamibian today I can safely but regretfully conclude that the old apartheid leaders would've been proud of current Namibian wannabe radicals' embrace of racial classification and focus on people's skin colour.
Former fisheries minister Bernhard Esau and some of his amigos were back in the dock in the Windhoek Magistrate's Court on charges of corruption, fraud and money laundering today. Should I guess this photo means "Viva, Swapo, Viva!"?
