@joshpalmer90 @NJHagens THX for the explanation! MMTers would argue that sovereign countries with sovereign currency cannot run out of money - the only real limit are the actual recources, e.g. US has been able to pay for every war they've entered into, + arming Israel, Ukraine, ...

bought it, watched it: carries the main message very well. EU and global audiences may find it a bit too US-centered, but the point is - Modern Monetary Theory proves empirically that austerity is an idiotic idea - go & educate your politicians - they still believe that nonsense.
