@hipp0squared Thank you for sharing this. Do you know where or who she did this interview with? I like to have it for reference in future debates on this movie.
@hipp0squared@KreiterMit41165 I might be misunderstanding your point, but Bear does not sleep (as in, have sex) with Nikki the first night. He rebuffs all of her advances after she freaks out from the kiss.
@pil1ows@JackPosobiec His feelings are hurt because his insecure self goes right to "shed rather die than be with me" but Nikki tells him shes never been with him. This further underscores the point that he doesn't understand what is going on with willow mechanics. Again, weak in character not villain
@pil1ows@JackPosobiec No he didn't. Get off your emotional high horse and go rewatch the movie. He did not believe in the willow in the beginning, who would except those who are extremely superstitious about such things? He even tells Ian that he didn't believe in it at first.
@JackPosobiec Post dinner scene is the last time we see them being intimate. Only we, the audience, get to see her disassociated look in that scene. If Bear was of better character, he would have demanded some closure on her dinner freakout and lying about her dad instead of just getting laid.
@JackPosobiec Bear also was NOT graping Nikki, at least not in anything passing as a normal reality. He didn't hook up with her the first night. They did hookup during the montage, but the that sequence opens with her willfully jumping on to him twice...
@JackPosobiec Finally, Bear. He is not a "villain" he is just a coward. Its more of a character deficit, that crosses paths with a supernatural device.
@JackPosobiec Ian is being an untruthful friend to Bear. He should of told Bear that he had been hooking up with Nikki. This might have cost them their friendship, but this kind of thing happens all the time. I have been in Ians shoes.
@JackPosobiec Nikki is the least bad actor out of all of them. I didn't see any obvious stringing along in what was shown in the short time we see her in her natural state
Sarah is only slightly less innocent for sitting on the info about Ian and Nikki, but that's kind of a white lie at worst
@JackPosobiec Only true "villains" are the Tabi Cat ppl who made the One Wish Willow. They literally had access to Nikkis trapped consciousness. If it became public knowledge, all of the sadistic fks working at the company would be incarcerated &, hopefully, all the willows would be destroyed.
@Dexerto I wouldn't hold your breath on a gaming comeback. This girl, beyond having a pretty face and loads of charisma, has incredible acting talent. Additionally, she's a hit with the kiddos. Studios are probably already blowing up her agent. She's gonna be too busy with real life.
@Luminouslead He should of just said "Yes".
They'd been friends since childhood, so we don't know their history and really have no idea what she would have said. Even if it was no, she would have likely done it tenderly. It makes the story that much more compelling.
@Sksj002 Yeahhhh, I don't think so. Nikki is likely going into the maximum-security forensic unit inside a state mental hospital for double homicide with insanity in a best case scenario. But hey, that sets her up to at least be available for a cameo if they make an Obsession 2.
@DiscussingFilm@CinemaBlend As a piece of art, everyone is free to their interpretations, but Barker himself has said there might have been "a chance" if Bear took a shot. I remember her looking down in slight disappointment when he lied about his feelings.
