I took this picture 2 years ago on the 18/6/2020, it’s the first webpage I ever made, the tribute page task from #freeCodeCamp .
I gave up trying to learn to code a month later because I didn’t “get” JavaScript , I took a 4 month break and tried again.
@JustEatUK ordered through your app on Saturday, restaurant called and asked if meant to order the same order twice, I didn’t know had happened, confirmed I only wanted 1 order and they promised to cancel the duplicate order and refund, this hasn’t happened can I get some help
Strange week, launched our feature as part of the LEGO insiders rebrand, bit strange watching videos on YouTube and reading Reddit discussions about the app my team built.
The feature has performed flawlessly and has had over a million invocations in the first week 😅
@IKEAUK can I get some help with a warranty issue, just been on the phone with one of customer service reps who has just told me he doesn’t have a manager after I asked to escalate this problem to a manager
@swright_dev Hopefully an update will fix otherwise it might be expensive to replace, I’ve had 2 Dell monitors develop a flicker this year but had warranty to get them replaced..
@Alicia_noreally @catherineg478 Mine was the day they tried to teach us 3 years of computer Science concepts in one day, I literally questioned my existence on earth that day 🥹
When I was learning to code, I always thought I would become a frontend developer , now at work I 100% prefer working on the backend tickets it’s so freeing not having to think about what something looks like and just about what it does.
@nerdinpink I think I prefer it because there’s no where to hide, you’re code either works or it doesn’t on the backend.
Also there’s a big difference with doing the FE on sites you designed or are passionate about, to building sites to someone else’s specifications.
