Please don't jump to conclusions before knowing the facts
1. This is in Karvenagar and not Kothrud (the reporter got it wrong). This part of Karvenagar has broad road and even the PMC official has declared on record that it's not a traffic issue
2. Transplantation success for PMC trees is <10% ( for Mahametro transplanted trees on Vetal tekdi it is 0%)
3. At the meeting with the MLA, the PMC official admitted that they haven't found a place for transplantation and spoke vaguely of Undri. How does this help Karvenagar residents who will suddenly lose 500 trees in their neighbourhood?
4. PMC is really struggling to find space for transplantation and compensatory afforestation in the city. This is why MH state govt has now directed Forest dept to remove existing Glyricidia forests on Pune's tekdis and carry out plantation there.
5. The last para in the Free Press article gives you the reason for the road. Didn't you read it?
Birders Prathamesh Mone, Chinmay Kale, & Tanishq Garade have documented the first photo record of an Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) flying over #VetalTekdi today.
This large sized bird of prey usually prefers rivers, marine waterways and lakes as a habitat.

Some very basic errors in your image @NavalMH sir.
Check the central diagram - the Outer Ring Road is shown INSIDE the Inner Ring Road!
And the colors on the Legend don't match the colors of the alignment
If your team can't even get a small image right, how are they going to implement a 12,000 cr project?!
ChatGPT skills need improvement Sir 🙏
@vineet_mausam The New York sewer system was designed to handle under 45mm of rain an hour. Most of the 55mm of rain that it witnessed was in a 20-40 minute window, effectively making it 80mm of rain an hour. Things aren't going to get any better with the city sinking under its own weight.
This visual was captured today in Delhi using a thermal camera. The video clearly shows how green spaces help reduce surface temperatures by almost 10 to 15 degrees Celsius.
At a time when cities are facing extreme heat, this is a powerful reminder of why protecting green spaces in our cities is so important to mitigate heat and other environmental impacts.
