My thesis on Knight Cat is pretty simple.
I always believed https://t.co/QXFl4Vgmts could create the foundation for a flywheel.
When something truly viral happens in the real world, like Moo Deng or Chill Guy, you suddenly have millions of people who want to buy into the meme. Every new push brings more attention, which brings more buyers, which creates another push.
The problem was never really the ability to create the coin.
The problem was the user experience.
https://t.co/QXFl4Vgmts made it possible, but actually using it, especially on mobile, was one of the worst crypto experiences I have ever had. The opportunity was there, but it was not easy enough for the average person to participate.
Then FOMO came along.
FOMO is not a launchpad. It is a cross chain trading app, but the way the app is designed makes this flywheel much easier to happen.
It puts people making serious money right in front of you.
If you use FOMO for the first time and see someone turning a few hundred dollars into thousands or tens of thousands, your reaction is probably going to be:
“Wait, what the fuck?”
And you are probably not going to keep that to yourself.
You show it to your friends. You post it. People start talking about it.
That is the flywheel I always imagined https://t.co/QXFl4Vgmts could create, but FOMO makes it much easier to actually happen.
Now look at Knight Cat.
There is a viral meme going around right now of a cat standing in the wind wearing knight armor.
And the most important part is that the actual creator of the viral video created $KNIGHTCAT himself.
That is something we did not have with Moo Deng or Chill Guy.
With Chill Guy especially, the artist behind the meme was completely against the coin. You had a viral meme with insane attention, but the person who actually created the thing was not behind the token.
That was a massive pain point.
Knight Cat does not have that problem.
The creator is actually willing to keep making and pushing content around it, but he is not doing it in the typical “please buy my coin” way.
He is creating content that people would watch even if they had absolutely no interest in crypto.
And that is what makes this so interesting to me.
You have a genuinely viral meme.
The original creator is behind the coin.
The creator is willing to keep creating content.
And now you have an app like FOMO that makes it extremely easy for people to discover, trade and share what is happening.
To me, this is one of the first times where all the pieces of the flywheel I was looking for are actually there.
I think we have already seen what happens when a meme reaches that level of cultural attention.
Now imagine the same thing happening with a much better distribution and trading experience.
That is the Knight Cat thesis.

1/15 What a week! Where do I even start...
There's been a lot of talk about a little armored cat that's reached millions of people and has been trending on X for several days. But somehow, one person keeps getting overlooked. Sickmanai, the artist behind the viral sensation.
His videos blew up on Instagram, he launched his own token solana:3Dgwn5E7H5a8k6iGrz3qirkaJqUaJrKHEZ2xPcLRpump , and later found himself suspended from X while $SwordCat gained traction around the same meme.
Meanwhile, CT has been raising questions about https://t.co/NEXf2ZAwIT Insiders, just as Higgsfield AI creators are starting to make waves across crypto.

It’s curious how these changes / PR damage control actions are happening shortly after the $swordcat fiasco.
Definitely interesting timing. Just sayin…
