@Tpeko66vp It’s a giant scam, always has been. I think this is a way of rinsing those “reclaimed” EU funds through Hungary with no benefit to the people whatsoever. It’s possible some landowners and a few politicians may benefit though ….
@SteveDH42@IanRaynes@infantserbian Crimea was always Russian until annexed in 1954 by the Soviets. I fail to understand why you normies defend the most corrupt country in Europe, that’s packed with actual Nazis and is currently running the world’s biggest money laundering operation.
@McNuggs5000@Kat071014 But why would they even want any of that western social media shit? Hell, I don’t want Meta with their liberal propaganda and censorship in my life.
@Bede_Zsolti Her constant blinking and strategically deployed fake smile tells me all I need to know about this disingenuous third rate non-entity that sadly “represents” Hungary.
@KathMLee1@Kat071014 Another one that conflates the Soviet Union with Russia. Whereas now governments in the west are facilitating mass rapes of their own population via third world immigration.
@McNuggs5000@Kat071014 You are confusing the Soviet Union (a communist tyranny) with Russia. Now Russia is freer than the west and the EU has morphed in to the Soviet Union.
@IanRaynes@infantserbian You’ve got it the wrong way round, it was NATO expansion in breach of the Minsk agreement. As for the joke of international law, doesn’t seem to stop the west trying to bomb democracy in to half the world. But, hey, keep swallowing the MSM kool-aid.
@Tpeko66vp Beautifully written. I am a Brit living in Hungary and I fear for your/my adopted country under this petty tyrant narcissistic EU glove puppet.
@infantserbian@IanRaynes You’ll be waiting a long time for any “logic” from him, he’s seemingly unaware that the west NATO/EU started the Ukraine conflict back in 2014.
@Arcadia74980931@JamesMelville Strawman argument. “Economic growth” breeds over consumption and enslavement, it’s a necessary feature of a debt based system.
@IJP74@JamesMelville But it’s not creating a “better world”, windmills and solar are hideous visual impairments on the landscape, detrimental to nature and are about as “ungreen” as you could get. Huge amounts of concrete & plastics, nothing recyclable and needs back up gas/nuclear generation.
@lcsillik@magyarpeterMP “Decree rule” has been replaced by an authoritarian “I know best” narcissist psycho. As for media clean up, you mean censorship of opposing views. This regime will be a disaster for the people of Hungary.
@lcsillik@magyarpeterMP Those EU funds will be going straight back to Germany/the EU courtesy of the green scam he wants to implement. Wasteful spending will never disappear, it’s endemic in every state institution in which Hungary is overmanned and over regulated …….
"There is no such thing as renewable energy," says geologist and energy expert Scott Tinker.
Sunlight and wind are continuously replenished. Solar panels, wind turbines, and batteries are not - they require mining, vast quantities of materials, manufacturing, land, backup power, and eventual replacement.
Tinker is not anti-wind or anti-solar. His point is that low-density intermittent energy cannot simply replace the dense, dispatchable power modern civilization depends on.
When the sun sets or the wind drops, electricity still has to come from storage, gas, nuclear, or some other firm source. And despite decades of "energy transition" (and the trillions spent), fossil fuels still provide 86% of global primary energy.
The real transition, Tinker argues, will come through increasingly dense, reliable, and cleaner energy: top of the list being natural gas and nuclear.
Affordable energy creates prosperity.
Policy should follow physics.
