Let me break down what I'm seeing and hearing here from DR.

I don't know DR's source for these materials , but they appear completely legit and are profoundly disturbing.

These are leading members of the Democrat Party hatching up the following strategy:

1. After the midterms, use the DSA to incite and carry out violent civil unrest.

2. Make the violent civil unrest so bad that Trump must invoke the Insurrection Act.

3. Use the invocation of the Insurrection Act to create a national sense of illegitimacy whereby Democrat governors appear justified in taking the extreme action of refusing to acknowledge federal authority and push to form a new form of federal government via various means, including an Article V transformation of the Constitution.

Maybe there is more to this and it's not as bad as it seems, but right now this appears to be a conspiracy to create the next Fort Sumter.

This is a CIA-style color revolution in real time, on our own soil.

(Of course the legacy media is nowhere near this--it takes us Internet randos to get the word out.)

If you haven’t seen it yet, there's a video of a French Parisian liberal woman pleading with “Protesters” that she's one of them; she voted to help them, voted to give them shelter and funding. As they loot and destroy her shop. Push her out of the way and ignore her.
The term is “Suicidal empathy!” It’s on the corner of your own hometown. It’s the senior holding a “No Kings” sign next to the blue-haired girl holding a “Stop Ice” sign. You don’t have to listen to them for very long to understand they are clueless, useful idiots. That blue-haired girl was indoctrinated in grade school to believe old white Americans have been stealing her future; at the same time, the liberal school staff was telling her that being a boy or one of the 60 alt genders made her special and unique. And that old white man standing right next to her- he’s getting paid $150 to stand there with that no-kings sign and just keep his mouth shut.
I gotta wonder how they are gonna act when their neighborhoods get 20,000 Islamic men dumped into the town square in the middle of the night? How will they react when those men start burning homes and businesses, looting, raping, and killing as they go?
There's something here that the leftist useful idiots don’t quite understand. They were indoctrinated into the utopian cult of the left; they promise you prosperity, unity, equality, but then they bring in people who don’t even care about humanity, 3rd world savages who aren’t capable of civility, because they grew up in savage central. They were formed and reformed into barbarism in places in the world where every person is out for themselves.

Mimetic rivalry intensifies when desires (for cultural dominance, policy outcomes, moral self-image) are imitated across media, academia, and activist circles. Internal contradictions, like policy failures or cultural tensions or economic pressures build into a perceived crisis (I say perceived because I’m not sure how to neutrally analyze all the data points to say that it actually is a crisis). Rather than confronting those complexities within the group, the mechanism channels everything onto one visible figure: Trump becomes the singular source of disorder, "MAGA extremism," lingering "Trump effects," or whatever chaos needs explaining.

Inflation, border issues, crime trends, campus unrest, even global events get routed back to him as the root cause. The language mirrors the ancient pattern: righteous defense of "democracy," "norms," or "justice" justifies the piling-on—legal, rhetorical, cultural. The persecutors feel unified and morally elevated, convinced they are quelling a unique threat. They "know not what they do," exactly as Jesus diagnosed: structural ignorance born of collective projection, not personal malice.

The Gospels side with the victim to expose the machine. Here, the relentless focus on one man as the embodiment of all rivalries and anxieties functions the same way—postponing real introspection while delivering catharsis through unified opposition. Girard warned this cycle repeats across tribes and eras unless the mechanism itself is named and the victim's perspective heard.

Not unique to any side (human nature is impartial), but the totalizing blame game around Trump fits the pattern with striking precision. "Father, forgive them" remains an anthropological revelation, not a partisan slogan. It interrupts the frenzy by revealing the blindness.

Gad Saad’s “suicidal empathy” framework fits neatly inside René Girard’s mimetic model and it does so as a “modern accelerator” of the very mechanism diagnosed in my prior reply
