@husky_vs It's very difficult to trade WU resolved contracts in any capacity with such uncertainty.
We are hopeful that resolution will shift elsewhere.
We released an enhancement to our observations APIs that is designed to help users avoid the risk associated with sensors that are malfunctioning, which can lead to subjective resolution.

Weather Underground is missing a SPECI Metar for KJAX at 1pm today, conveniently impacting the high temperature for the day for the KJAX market on IBKR.
@IBKR@ForecastEx
Are you guys aware of the increasing amount of issues with Weather Underground resolution?
@hooftly@IBKR@shayne_coplan It's unlikely that they would use Wethr for a range of reasons, but perhaps they could take a consensus of multiple sources.
If you are an executive at @IBKR or you are @shayne_coplan and you are wondering why your Climate Market volume is in the toilet - consider that your resolution source is DELETING data prior to resolution.
You are resolving markets on bad data.
@ProMint_X For any other resolution source this would be good or at worst neutral - but observations are getting DELETED from WUnderground's history tab. This will be a disaster.
@pradanaenggar47@IBKR@Polymarket@RobinhoodApp There are suitable pages on https://t.co/wZ3pLGgWge which could be used for market resolution that do not have the same issues that WUnderground has.
Any exchange that continues to use WUnderground History tab for resolution is not serious about weather markets.
@IBKR@Polymarket@RobinhoodApp
There are two explanations for missing METARs on their history tab. Fraud or incompetence. Neither is acceptable for resolution.
@Terminal44_@Polymarket This would be great if WUnderground wasn't actively deleting METARS from their system.
Now - with this new logic you can see a high temperature hit WUnderground's history tab, buy that position, and now you get to wait and see if they delete it from the tab later on.
While everyone is distracted with Polymarket weather market drama - we figured it would be a good time to release the Beta of our Nearby Stations REST API.

β‘οΈThis week we have made some major improvements to international station latency.
You will notice substantially faster updates for nearly every international station, ranging from a few seconds to almost 2 minutes of latency improvement.
We're just getting started.
