His Ad Astra school in Bastrop is focused on STEM, hands-on projects, experimentation, critical thinking, and solving real-world problems rather than simply memorizing information.

And the vision appears to be much bigger than one small school—the effort has included plans for a broader education system spanning primary and secondary education, with the possibility of eventually creating a university.
