We are upgrading our roads to achieve 52% pavement of the 2,104 road network by 2030.

We are working on our drainages to mitigate floods in the city so as to save merchandise and property in our business hubs.

To improve mobility, the Bus Rapid Transit & light rail are in the pipeline. These interventions are a highway to middle-income prosperity .

@KCCAUG now leads Africa in transparent air quality reporting with 134 monitors across the city. Despite average levels of 39 µg/m³, within Uganda’s national standard, we are determined to cut this in half by 2030.

Our capacity & commitment have earned Kampala the National Environment Sustainability Award, a Guangzhou Innovation nomination, and 1st African City to be inducted into the International Network of Tree Cities, for our amazing 5,705 trees per SqKm

I am convinced that pollution knows no borders. Clean air must be a shared responsibility.

Marking what he said would be his last participation in the Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) Day as Lord Mayor, he urged pupils to believe in themselves, read hard and have hope that they can make it.
