@Enterphase@Nerdcognito Yeah, I have played with a number of tables and a number of different systems, extending all the way back to AD&D, and sometimes, roleplay is good enough you bypass a roll. It's totally normal.
@DeusDeadened@Flaeonian@thinkiamsad@centristlol They had options: every time God told them to do something, they could choose not to. They could say no. Instead, all-knowing god allowed something into the garden he knew would tempt them into taking something, something he put there knowing it would be stolen; all-knowing
@DoTheBartManCFC@looploveslore@xenowriter That's the point though. The fact that you can, as a player, look at an entire race of people and understandably decide "This entire system being wiped out is totally justifiable without a second thought." is bad writing.
@FordFocusUltra@AlexGam83048160@Doodle3087 …yeah I’m done with you. You’re still treating it like a product, like some commodity that he has some moral obligation to extend to the world. He coulda just said “I don’t fucking want to” and had the moral high ground.
@FordFocusUltra@AlexGam83048160@Doodle3087 He isn’t the one who -makes- the fan translations, and allow me to let you in on a secret of the industry. As soulless as the industry is, games are art. Deltarune is art that he has been working on for over a decade. He never once said a translation would be, just not his.
@AlexGam83048160@Doodle3087 …he said he wanted to quality check it himself. We’ve known he was a control freak since Undertale. That’s not mocking translators, that’s you having a chip on your shoulder, sport.
@profdekarios It’s not necessary, but it’s a signifier, and people are animals, society trains you and so seeing romance as a selling point subconsciously says “this is for girls”. This is not a good thing, but it is how it works. The brain wants to categorize.
