The yield argument is only partly relevant, unless I'm missing the point entirely. I mean, it matters for yield-bearing payment stablecoins, but what about something like USDY?

My understanding is that, unlike a stablecoin, it's actually a tokenized Treasury-backed note explicitly designed to pass through underlying yield to the holder.

To me, the question is whether regulators will treat tokens like USDY differently.

make them and their associated groups/cults/financial backers, etc. legally liable for any and all damage, including repaying the cost of taxpayer-funded emergency response, necessary road repairs, and labor/wages/business lost by commuters, including any associated fuel costs.

If they cannot pay it back, no option for bankruptcy... they must pay back with the worst kind of supervised community service. Also remove any and all social benefits they're receiving. If they have time to waste doing dumb shit, they don't need handouts.
