@yakunekko there’s no way you just equated recovery to never having an illness lmao. of course i still have it and it still affects ME, but i refuse to let it affect others
i have a lineup of disorders that used to horribly negatively affect people and now they don’t because i’m not a shitty person and decided to work on myself for the sake of others lol. what a bullshit take that makes people with bpd look like they choose to stay that way
from what i’ve seen it’s a lot of younger children who find comfort in their favorite character because they may not get a lot of attention in real life. it’s still unhealthy, but i won’t give them shit for it. adults on the other hand 😭
there are thousands of people in the world who genuinely believe that they're in a relationship with a real version of a fictional character from an alternate universe and if you say that's weird they call you ableist
@dearestfyodor_ i have npd and autism and struggle with empathy a lot. i can’t feel for people. but from a purely autistic standpoint, i like to be there for people and listen to them talk about their problems because it helps me learn how to handle others. i don’t need empathy to be kind lol
@taemponytail that makes a lot of sense. i used to be big into that group but fell out because of the recent album and fans lose their minds when you critique it let alone dislike it lol. you can certainly tell which of them have grifted over
i gave my two cents on the concept of faking DID (my take was that i don’t think most people do it intentionally) and i mentioned endos and got blocked because apparently they support endogenic systems 😭 twitter isn’t real sometimes
@CatFaggot@yeulegay@AMID_UHDEL it drives me insane because i used to be this way. i would refuse the idea when people told me i could really just reflect and help myself. but if i had listened earlier i wouldn’t have suffered my own disorder so much
when i was super affected by my npd and being a huge asshole to everybody, i of course had to help myself, but i probably would’ve healed quicker if my friends stopped putting me on pedestals just because im like cool i guess
@SapphicEllaa people stop caring when they don’t understand it unfortunately. i promise you there are still people out there who care. i don’t have bpd but i feel for you guys because i have npd and get the same shit from people
@ukebias yeah i think it’s really lame to generalize people in this context. it’s different if you use your prior experience to better handle someone you just met with the same disorder, but not many people have learned that skill for whatever reason
@OfSea9513 i still try to listen to ateez’s new releases.. i just tend not to like them so i don’t put in much effort. i’m definitely not as much of a fan as i usdd to be but i most certainly consider them an artist i like
i know a lot of people claim they’re too self aware for therapy but i truly believe i am and that’s only because therapists are slowly becoming worse and worse at their jobs. a good ass therapist would turn my life around
@OfSea9513 i like ateez. i literally enjoy a majority of their discography. their newer music just isn’t for me. i don’t know what makes you think that means i do not like them lol that’s a really illogical conclusion to make
