Hello good people. π
Happy Martyrs' Day to all who observe. πΊπ¬
So. Every few years Uganda gets crowned the most entrepreneurial country on planet Earth. A real ranking once put us first out of 73 nations. Ahead of Silicon Valley. Nearly double second-place Thailand.
A third of us are "running a business" of some sort. The airtime guy is CEO of his enterprise . Your aunty selling some clothes at the office .
You, reading this, probably have a side hustle you haven't told HR about. π
So riddle me this. If everyone's a CEO, who's doing the work? And if we're all such hustlers, why aren't we rich π§?
And why is it always the fresh graduate and the underpaid worker who actually take the leap - while the smart money stays firmly on payroll, salary coming every month like clockwork?
This week PPJA gets personal and talks entrepreneurship. The businesses we tried and quietly buried. The reason the people who preach the hustle never seem to take it themselves.
Ps. And yes. The coat of many colours is a vibe . π§₯π

Looking at it allegorically...there's beauty in the idea that a vengeful, wrathful God should die on the cross. Father and Son are dead.
What remains is the spirit that enlivens the body of people in communion.
God expressed as love. In a material world.
The highest ideal.
A discussion about inconsistencies in the narrative from the Last Supper to Easter Morning...and why it doesn't matter when you read it as symbolic and NOT literal.

You raise great questions Nicholas. Not to speak for Pumla, but we will say that this actually something we hope to address in an episode on Transformation using Nietzches stages of growth idea.
Hopefully it will raise even more questions
Appreciate the thoughtful engagement ππΏ

@what_theory This idea doesn't go far; it may in many cases appear as a consolation or rationalization of failure to achieve the bare minimun; @NabachwaPumla 's perspective is half-baked (not well thought) and thus has left a lot of questions un answered
βWe often wonder why people project their "milestone" expectations on us: marriage, kids, career paths. Itβs usually because they are still inside the very cage you just broke out of. When you choose a path that others feel they can't take, your freedom becomes their discomfort.β - Pumla

The particular episode that's blown me away is the one where they discussed a subject that is very close to my heart Why Africa's Future Depends on a New Mindset.
They had two brilliant young people, Joel & Primah from @what_theory (another very cool podcast)
I think everyone needs to watch this episode. >> https://t.co/12d5BGCbQM

In the workplace, silence is often a survival strategy. But at what cost? In this episode, we are breaking the violent silence surrounding Gender-Based Violence (GBV) at work.
We aren't just talking numbers. We are talking about the quiet coercion of corporate culture and the very real fear of losing a livelihood that forces victims into the shadows.
Joined by HR and Operations expert Fiona Nuwamanya, we dismantle the structures that protect abusers and silence survivors.
