Cardiff is comfortably the best city to live in in the UK. It's a capital and has all the amenities that come with this, while still being small, affordable, and easy to get around. It's walkable, has an excellent transit system, wide streets, plenty of parks and greenery.

If we're rebuilding the South side of the station we can maximise these benefits even further by widening the East throat and adding an additional HR platform that would share an island with platform 8. Allowing Pl 6&7 to be handed over to mainline with lengthening & new S&C.

@EngFocus Believe the issue here is that there is significantly more pressure on WG to alleviate pressure on the M4 through Newport than there is to upgrade WRX to BID. Still remains a big talking point that the WG cancelled the M4 relief road without alternatives being put in place.

@adam696_ @SW_MetroUpdates It's a pedestrian bridge over a railway in the middle of suburbia. What are you expecting? Tower bridge? Wasting money on a specialist design for a bridge that few will see is not in the interest of the population. Far quicker and more efficient to use industry standard designs.

Walking distance to 2 stations & Whitchurch village, close to Schools and M4. Very good location for housing, however the centre of the hospital should be mixed use.

Cardiff is not the best city in the UK but it's generally considered one of the best so I do not understand your reaction

Hosted many events in the 2012 Olympics and 1999 rugby world cup. Hosted 2017 champions league final and numerous international cricket and boxing events. What's your beef?
