Hitler didn't stop out of compassion, he stopped because Göring insisted that the Luftwaffe was able to take care of the evacuation, without risking the Wehrmacht's mechanized force through the poor terrain conditions surrounding Dunkirk.

@NoDeamer @IFBD1907 @EmmanuelMacron Okay, nobody said otherwise? All the post said is that ESM is part of the mission, that's one less thing NASA had to work on, it is a contribution and it's objectively a good thing for Europe and the US to cooperate.

Nowhere does the post imply European leadership over Artemis.
