Professional sociology professor professing sociology. An attempt at the public use of reason. "Anonymity is a shield from the tyranny of the majority."
@jessesingal Quite correct. But as a separate matter, Cofnas is very inarticulate in how he expresses himself. Frankly he's a turd and that ain't helping him.
@NYCMayor 17 days after the Oct 7 Massacre, while Israel was still sifting through ashes to identify the 1200+ Jews who were raped, kidnapped & murdered, Zohran Mamdani led a pro-Hamas rally calling for the destruction of Israel.
Also his wife celebrated Oct 7
@ProjectVirginia@HarmeetKDhillon@CivilRights Horribly patronizing how she positions herself as the white savior of minority scholars. She’s intensely inarticulate and rides others’ coattails to maintain her mediocrity.
The way she speaks about minority scholars needing her is indicative of advanced white savior syndrome. She is, delicately phrased, not intelligent. I met her once and it was embarrassing just to be halfway near her. Among her areas she lists food insecurity and physical activity, neither of which she can lay claim to be an expert on.
Two scenes from New York City just a few hours ago. A few deranged nobodies at the UN. And a pali-Nazi swastika just to show they don’t just hate Jews.
First amendment restrictions also apply to fake news, no matter how fake it is. Fox News and others are right to protest the Presidential ban against CNN et al.
@TomFitton We've been doing this for years and years and years... And still nothing has changed. But it makes universities look good, and administrators and faculty feel good about themselves. Pathetic.
@christopherrufo I know from 30+ years in academia that this is standard practice across all US universities, and it has been for many years. We all do this all the time.
This is an insightful and frightful review of the attitude of today's generation towards the terrorist attack of September 11. Would anything happen with another 9/11? (Maybe the answer to that question was already clear a day later, on October 8.)
