@Theholisticpsyc The only time my mother has apologized to me was once when she was only doing it to get me to apologize to her (for disagreeing with her, which she views as disrespectful). And when I thanked her for apologizing (instead of apologizing in return) she stomped off in a huff.

@Theholisticpsyc One of the many reasons why I have had to step back from my mother. She repeatedly refused to respect my children’s boundaries, got angry and offended if they didn’t want to hug, and even got irate when my autistic son refused a kiss.
