My 2022 writing challenge, inspired by Ray Bradbury: a new short story, every week, for a whole year. Maybe one of them will even be good? https://t.co/U2i3j8aFbk
Here’s to hoping that you can finally get the Triforce in the Ocarina of Time remake. Eleven-year-old me spent countless hours on that forum-fueled quest for the “Overture of Sages.”
Number of people who've sailed solo around the world is about the number of people in this photo (or less).
Number of people who did it non-stop wouldn't fill a subway car. Far fewer than the number of humans who've been in space.
There are still frontiers out there.
My workflow has been to read the textbook then brainstorm a relevant miniproject with Gemini, distilled down to a 1-2 paragraph "programming challenge".
Then I go think about it, do more research, and hand code the educational parts (using Claude Code for routine stuff)
If you’re SFTP-curious, then I wrote a fun post for you all about internet protocols, FTP vs SFTP, the Arpanet, and buying stuff online: https://t.co/6ooGTpHrke
@benjreinhart@get_mocha Really nice explainer. Do you expose the logs or observability to the user in any way? That seems to me an interesting area for a non technical customer audience who are shipping prod apps.

Lifeguards patrolled thewater in rowboats!
They pumped water from the Pacific (right there), filtered, and heated it. Now it's the zoo.
@PatMcWelch@_MathAcademy_ Helllooo!! MFI for me. We interviewed @justinskycak for @csprimer podcast and I’ve been hooked ever since. Honestly it’s become a relaxing EOD unwind for me and that’s my top reason for loving it. Getting out a pencil and spiral bound notebook and doing some homework. So nice.
Had a great chat with @oznova_ and @whatrocks on the @csprimer show!
Some things we covered in the 1hr podcast (link in comments):
-- @_MathAcademy_ was originally built to support a school program. How come it also works so well for adults?
-- What makes someone a student a good fit for Math Academy? What's required to succeed?
-- The idea of calibrating to student interest/motivation profiles in the future, just like we currently calibrate to student knowledge profiles
