@Patty__Wilson Treatment, NA mtgs, “getting a job”, “going back to school”, etc. ALL just look good for the addict, who may convince themselves that’s the “cure” and can abstain for awhile but by not treating the trauma using again is inevitable
@Patty__Wilson If OAT is the answer then daily witnessed is a necessity (but with privacy for the patient and now Covid safety in place), recovery should focus on psychotherapy to deal with the trauma that’s causing the addiction! Treatment/recovery centres are a joke.
@Patty__Wilson my husband died of a fentanyl O/D after numerous treatment centres, on subaxone and convinced dr’s he could carry for all those reasons but would take the entire week’s dose at once, suffer w/D symptoms and seek out street opiods to survive until the next carry supply.

@jjhorgan But keep going to school?! School exposures go up everyday, time between exposure and notification is too long, our kids are spreading Covid in our communities unaware since they don’t always display symptoms. Close schools and get us online learning now before we all die!
