“Looks pretty obvious to me that high-majors need to play mid-majors during the season. They said we ain’t played nobody—we played somebody now. Nobody would play us. just like nobody would play Miami Ohio. But they gotta play us in this tournament.”

To those picking apart @MiamiRedHawks perfect season because they didn’t play “ranked teams”, might help to understand the math.
Since @MarchMadnessMBB expanded to 64 in 1985, been an average of about 325 D1 teams per year.
That’s 13,625 seasons.
6 undefeated.
A .00044 chance.
Argue Miami OH will lose first round, that's fine. I probably will be picking against them too!
There's simply not a way you can leave a 31-0 team out of the NCAA Tournament. They have to be in. They won 31 games in a row. A lot of teams played bad schedules. None went 31-0
“Any high-major would go undefeated with Miami’s schedule”
13-loss Cincinnati handed Kansas its largest home loss to an unranked team in 53 years last weekend.
Would Cincinnati be 28-0 if they played Miami’s schedule?
