@GCSeiler@DailyHiveVan What does a future data center have to do with water restrictions happening right now? They are not banning water ffs. Simply asking for non-essential use to be restricted while they complete a project that is temporarily limiting water availability.
@DerekWilliams82@DailyHiveVan They are building a project this summer which has temporarily reduced the availability of water while the connections are made.
A small public service announcement from the Department of Things That You Should Know…
It has not “peeked” your interest.
Nor has it “peaked” your interest.
…It has piqued your interest.
You are not “phased” by something.
You are fazed by it.
If you’ve had a long day, you are weary.
If you suspect someone is an idiot, you are wary.
It is “due course”, not “do course”.
“Per se”, not “per say”.
And while we’re here, it’s “could have”, not “could of”, but that particular battle may already be lost.
Thank you for your attention during this brief outbreak of grammatical housekeeping.
This has been a @LairdofthManor announcement.🎩💙
@Lam_mour@iamkennethchan You stop before the line, then creep forward as necessary. But the first stop must be before the line. How do you not know this?
@technomess@amelapay I don’t even let them try to put it in my hand anymore. They have to use my forearm. In my hand, it’s a searing pain that never passes. In my forearm it’s fine once it’s all in and taped up.
@lost_dox@suforednaw@PartyPrat Yeah, the regrades. Seattle is really hilly, something that seems to surprise a lot of people. Downtown Vancouver is not too bad, flat as a pancake compared to Seattle.
@btsuth@bobmackin@CityHallWchVAN This is not a strictly Canadian issue. Many big/mega projects around the world go way over original budget. Google the big dig in Boston for just one example.
@SamerTheFutureM@fromez123@TheFigen_ But make sure your other foot doesn’t stay on the ground when you do. Then you are just creating a circuit from where your other foot touches your friend to the ground.
@G8RByte@1ssve Nothing wrong with starting the message with hello or a similar salutation, but the request or information should come immediately after. A hanging “hello”, just waiting for a response before proceeding, is ridiculous.
