🎙️ Cesc Fàbregas: "Eden Hazard and I gave N'Golo Kanté a Brazilian nickname N'Golinho when we were together at Chelsea. Obviously it was a bit of a joke, but it showed how much we thought of N'Golo and how much we appreciate certain aspects of his game that others may not see.
N'Golinho is one of the best players of all time at his position. He's seen as a defensive midfielder who makes all these tackles and recovers a lot of balls and that's fantastic, but sometimes you forget that he never loses the ball. He can run with the ball, break lines and dribble, and, because it's him, we don't appreciate that for its true value. He is certainly one of the most complete midfielders in the world.
Playing next to N'Golo gives you a lot of security and confidence. The way he recovers, the way he keeps the ball and intercepts. Maybe I can understand that without having played with him or knowing him, it's hard for people to appreciate how important and good he is, but I think more and more people are realizing that having N 'Golo in his team greatly increases your percentage chance of winning matches and competitions. If you ask the best players in the world if they would like to have N'Golo in their team, they would all say yes without hesitation.
Unfortunately, football is now based on your reputation. N'Golo is known for running a lot and winning the ball, but he does a lot of other things very well that no one talks about. He's one of the best players I've ever played with." 👏❤️🇫🇷
