The next 24 hours and the path ahead.

1. In 10 hours Ronin will go into hibernation for ~ 10 hours as it upgrades into an Ethereum L2.

2. No user/player activity is required for the migration.

3. Once Ronin is back up, inflation will be cut dramatically. Treasury inflows will be up from gas fees, more Ronin marketplace fees, and 90 M RON from the allocation formerly used for staking rewards.

4. Projects that have registered for Proof of Distribution will start earning RON rewards based on the activity they bring to the network. Projects must be registered in order for the system to start crediting it with $RON.

Proof of distribution will very publicly show which teams are performing and succeeding. Programmatically, without me or Sky Mavis having to curate and tell you which projects are doing well.

5. I expect all key metrics across the chain to start to improve. You get what you incentivize. Proof of distribution and bRON/bAXS are all systems that are net new to crypto and have never been rolled out at scale like we are doing now.

One of my favorite parts of @FishingFrenzyCo is buying and opening chests.

I bought this one a while ago because I love grabbing random chests, but I could never open it… and I had no idea why. I think I finally cracked it.

It’s happening.

The Ronin Treasury is unique since it gets a portion of all dex and nft volume on Ronin.

These funds are now being directed to accumulate RON onchain.

The Treasury has enough funds right now to accumulate ~ 2% of the total circulating supply.

Approximately 10 million RON.

The Treasury is becoming the strongest hand while removing the weakest.

The buybacks will start next week and will be executed on Ronin.

This is the first bullet in the chamber.

@FishingFrenzyCo founder @xdereklau is pioneering into the web3 gaming landscape with the promising concept of “Proof of Contribution”.

As I read through his article on the subject I couldn’t help but make the political or socio-economical comparison of human society on the concept:

PLAY TO EARN = SOCIALISM

• The “Play to earn” concept is basically how socialism works in human society. It’s a system that has proven to have failed througout human history over and over again.

Why?

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of properity

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. You cant multiply wealth by dividing it.

4. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of every nation.

PROOF OF CONTRIBUTION = MERITOCRACY

• The “Proof of Contribution” concept on the other hand I would compare more to a Meritocracy, cause it’s based on “merit-based pay” and IMO it has a much better chance of survival.

Why?

1. Equality of opportunity (theoretical): everyone has the same starting opportunities

2. Inequality of outcome (deliberate): differences in income, status, and power are justified because they are “earned” through performance

3. Reward based on contribution: those who work harder or smarter receive more recognition and material rewards

In my personal experience so far, I find it nothing bur fair that I’ve received up to 800 $RON from the @FishingFrenzyCo content creator program. My efforts are being valued and I get rewarded accordingly.

I truly believe the concept of “Proof of Contribution” has a luch better chance at succeeding in a web3 gaming economy but… all will depend on the metrics, mathematical equations and formulas as to how much you reward what types of contribution.
