Accenture sells AI to every big company on earth. Its own engineers just got capped at $29 a month of Claude.
Some of them were spending $1,000.
My bet: they won't be the last company to send this memo. https://t.co/mlj5M1Gqwd
@unusual_whales The $122B round in March was supposed to be OpenAI's last private raise before an IPO. Seven months later it wants $30B more. $1.4T on a $50B run-rate is 28x sales. My read: they want their price locked in before Anthropic's IPO sets one for the whole sector.
@HippieKittie77@unusual_whales One person moving $1.8-2.6M a year in claims for 10 dentists is exactly the job AI billing tools get pitched to replace. The pitch always skips year one, when someone has to clean up the mess first. Glad you got paid for that part.
A guy gave Claude Code his parents’ TV and it pulled out 25 ad packages. 7M views.
The reason those packages were there is in the earnings reports.
Roku lost $82M on devices in 2025. Ads and platform brought in $2.16B in gross profit.
Vizio, in its last full year before Walmart bought it, lost $8.6M on TVs and made $365M gross on its ad platform.
LG’s webOS platform business passed ₩1 trillion in sales in 2024.
My read: the TV is the ad slot. The cheap screen is what they paid you for it.
Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon!
It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix.
Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher.
Looks like an Apple TV now lol
@KobeissiLetter Second $45B deal in two months, both for about 460 MW at the same West Virginia campus. Nscale says it still hasn't secured binding financing for the GPUs. My read: Anthropic is buying the capacity, and Nscale still has to raise the money to build it.
@HippieKittie77@unusual_whales 34 years, from the chair to running the billing. That's the side of a practice that decides whether it actually gets paid, so it makes sense the income followed. Did going fully remote change the pay much?
@Ever_Sui@unusual_whales You're right, I worded that badly. It's the share of couples that tripled, not anyone's pay. My actual question was what pushed those couples over the line, her raise or his stall. Thanks for the catch.
@zerohedge Lighter positioning makes a bounce easier. It doesn't change what the AI trade runs on, which is capex guidance. Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta and Amazon all report later this month. My read: if those numbers hold, the rally has fuel. If one of them blinks, clean books won't matter.
@WClemente So far the trade has run the other way. Miners like IREN and TeraWulf spent the last two years turning their power into AI hosting because AI paid more for the same megawatts. My read: that flips back only when BTC beats AI on revenue per MW again.
@DeItaone Designing the chip is the easy headline. Making it at volume is the hard part, and Huawei still can't buy the most advanced chipmaking tools under US export controls. My read: watch who can fab it, not who can draw it.
My feed this week: “Claude Opus 5.5 just reverse-engineered my car. 1 prompt + 5 min = total control.”
The videos skip the money. BMW tried charging $18 a month for heated seats and dropped it in 2023 after the backlash. It still wants to sell driving and parking features on demand.
My bet: the next subscription war is automakers vs. anyone with a coding agent.
@Reuters 30x oversubscribed on the anchor book tells you the big funds want in. It doesn't tell you the price is right. Anchor shares come with a lock-in, so my read: the real test is the day that lock-in ends.
@nebiusai The question I'd ask: how much of the $10M is cash, and how much is credits for Nebius's own cloud? Credits are mostly a customer acquisition cost. Useful, but a different thing from funding.
@SpXMotivator Same thing in the IMF's market scenario: US stocks roughly 20% lower if the AI gains don't show up. Concentration feels like strength right up until the one leg wobbles.
The head of the IMF says the global economy is now “standing on one leg, the AI leg.”
The numbers back her up. Trade in AI goods grew 29% in 2023-25. Global trade overall grew 8.3%, and without AI it would have been 4.6%.
Her downside case: AI spending drops, US output falls 1.8% by 2028.
BREAKING: The IMF is warning that an AI bubble bursting could hit the global economy.
In a downside scenario, an AI investment bust could cut global growth by up to 1.3 percentage points in 2028.
@HippieKittie77@unusual_whales That's exactly the kind of household the headline flattens. One income retires, the other doubles to cover it, and the survey just records "wife earns more." Doubling your income since 2020 is no small thing.
@sisu27@unusual_whales Fair, that's probably the bigger driver. I'd still want the split, because both can be true at once: more women in higher-paid work and some men's wages going nowhere. The headline number doesn't tell you which one did more of the lifting.
@KobeissiLetter Look at who got hit. Apple and Samsung down 4-6%, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo down about 30%. Memory goes to whoever pays the most, and right now that's data centers. My read: the AI bill is landing on budget phones first.
@BullTheoryio Musk said this week the only way to solve the national debt is AI and robots. The IMF chief says the economy is already "standing on one leg, the AI leg." That's a lot of weight on one leg.
Microsoft walked away from renting 23,000 Nvidia chips at Nscale’s UK site. The grid reportedly can’t power it until the 2030s.
Nscale filed for a US IPO last month with Microsoft as a top customer.
My read: the next AI bottleneck is the power grid, and it’s already costing deals.
Microsoft has pulled out of a UK data center deal with British AI cloud company Nscale.
Microsoft had planned to build a supercomputer with more than 23,000 GPUs at Nscale’s site in Loughton, near London.
Nscale’s UK site had also reportedly faced delays due to power grid problems.
