@barbedquill@DillwynJBetts@WalesInMotion@WelshRugbyUnion Why do you yearn for someone to be sacked? It changes nothing. The problem is the problem. The solution is the solution. The data/evidence/research/knowledge/instinct is the same no matter where you look. It always has been and will be, until change is enacted.
@DillwynJBetts@WalesInMotion@WelshRugbyUnion ‘Appointment is solely by the Board…’ do you think it should be made by someone else? Why wouldn’t ‘ability to deliver strategy’ be part of assessment? What’s your point? Do you dismiss 3 years of research, debate, consultation, decision, because you don’t agree? Is that ok?
@VagueRegions@GreggC_CC Someone asked me the other day do I think the WRU would sell a club to the supporters, like crowd funding. I’m sure they would. If I had a pound for every twitter ‘fan’ who was slagging off WRU for cutting a region… Easy to carp, if you want to help, buy season tickets.
@illhavetheduck Where do you want him to be ‘from’? Wales, but nowhere specific, must not know or be connected to a club but be a ‘rugby man’. must have international business acumen but live there. must declare, before he starts, he knows better than everyone there and will change everything?
Direct costs for hosting matches and events at Principality. Stadium maintenance costs are annual upkeep whether stadium is being used or not. Business and Administration is all of the staff employed by WRU across its various activities. There is more detail on these and other elements in the WRU Annual Reports.
@nickwebb2017@VagueRegions You’re emphasising how important the decision is whilst criticising them for treating it with the utmost importance. Can you see that?
@jacktevans1 And my point is finances are transparent. They are accountable to their members, the clubs. What are the multiple fronts you are not clear about? These are vague and sweeping statements that are unsubstantiated
@Bob71136804@WelshRugbyUnion It’s not enough tho is it? Also you’re ignoring income generated by the women’s game (the fastest growing area of global sport)
@jacktevans1@NSWFan22 Profit is explicitly and clearly stated. This is a legal requirement. What is vague? Accountability of a member owned organisation to who, for what? To you?
@jacktevans1 No idea. Can hazard a guess though, considering they own one of the highest profile stadiums in the world. As could you if you thought beyond the burn it all down rhetoric?
