Call me crazy, but with the highest tax burden in 50yrs it’s not unreasonable for citizens to expect timely access to healthcare, decent education, clean waterways, affordable transport, a safety net that stops kids going hungry, and a decent pension. These are not big asks!
@GillianKeegan@10DowningStreet@educationgovuk But it is not expansion that is needed, it is quality, and without that providing 30 hours of it may not be helping the children or the parents.
@DeVerdadera1 @MilicaStojsic1 less effective immune system in the elderly probably protects - that or they are all on ace -inhibitors - or the susceptible die before it has a time to be long?
@10DowningStreet@RishiSunak To keep us safe we need safe water, proper public health, adequate funding of the NHS, good education and support for our children. We need a sound infrastructure and services to support those who fall. Your priorities are unsound.
The reason you can’t get an appointment or procedure or an ambulance at the right time is because the NHS is underfunded. That’s it. Everything else is just distraction.
@RevDocApatrida@Yash25571056 public health do - that is how we get the data. Most conditions if the symptoms look like the disease - treat as the disease and if testing is appropriate, keep repeating the test if it is useful to know the diagnosis - it is for covid because of risk of sig complications.
@RevDocApatrida@Yash25571056 Overall In week 30, from most indicators, influenza activity remained low and stable and COVID-19 activity increased across most indicators. - not a lot of flu around atm . https://t.co/cF0c1QEUD7
@MichaelRosenYes I hope in this dodgy morning, you haven't lost any of the deeper understanding of how much pleasure and thoughtfulness you bring to so many peoples lives, and how your ability to gently connect helps so many of us in difficult times. I hope the day improves.
@Jeremy_Hunt mmm but you all need to stop believing in fairies and economic theory as a stand alone magic tool for managing stuff. You are making the same mistake that Radical Marxists make.
@deelomas you have just opened up a world of possibilities - though have also just watched the barbie film which has to be at least a pkt of prozac ....
@Jacob_Rees_Mogg look I know you had an odd education - but markets don't have brains, and have never been shown to make decisions - they just wield to predicable pressures. If you can't do better than this we need a politician with a brain, moral integrity and the ability to use it,
@MeddygLou remember being shown round labs in 81 being told they were stopping making bld products because Politicians chose cheap alt from USA, which they knew would be less safe, not re hep b- " the next ones in the alphabet" choices made with insight needs recognition + apology
