@RealGeoffBarton Many congratulations on the well deserved award. Happy New Year. And, as I’m sure your wife knows, in many parts of #Suffolk, ‘twenty’s plenty’.
@implausibleblog 🔥🇬🇧 Finally, someone telling it like it is! 🙌 John Major is spot on about #Brexit making the #UK weaker and poorer. 🤑 The Emperor's New Clothes moment has finally arrived - where are the benefits of Brexit? 🤔
If you haven’t watched Trying on @AppleTV you really are missing out. 4 series of beautifully tender and well observed comedy that also shines a light on how infertility and adoption are gruelling and challenging.

“Single-headline grades are low-information for parents and high-stakes for schools. Parents deserve a much clearer, much broader picture of how schools are performing”
@bphillipsonMP welcome news

“The merry-go-round of Tory ministers in recent years failed to grip the rising tide of poor behaviour pre-pandemic & then told children & families they’d ‘maxed out’ on Covid recovery support.”
14 years of underfunding may also have something to do with it.
@Stephen_Logan
An appalling article from @guardian, which has the potential to cause harm to thousands of children.
With lurid warnings of a 'bad-behaviour bubble', it could inflame a delicate situation.
And the beneficiary could be under-fire tsar Tom Bennett.

@ottleyoconnor Well said.
Staying on #X formerly known as #Twitter can be a message to those that want to change the tone and nature of the platform that “we ain’t going nowhere”.
@RealGeoffBarton @Morsecat @pepediiasio@ASCL_UK One of my principles was always to maintain a broad/balanced curriculum; it became increasingly difficult to maintain & since retiring I’ve seen it narrow more. It was also the rhetoric around the ‘value’ of creative subjects from the former govt that did harm; I hope it changes
An incisive and powerful piece by @DavidOlusoga “While there were horrific attacks on hotels housing asylum seekers, most of those targeted by the rioters were British citizens: members of communities with histories that go back three generations or more…”
What a blisteringly sharp analysis from @DavidOlusoga, who calls out the riots for exactly what they were - violent racism, fomented by populism.
Please read his superb piece 🔥
