Today, the Minister of Works & Transport @GenWamala launched a "slightly bigger" ferry from Nakiwogo to Buwaya. Although this counts as progress, it falls way behind our plans and expectations for the future of Entebbe City.
Our vision and recommendation is for a tolled bridge road from Nakiwogo to Buwaya which will reduce traffic-jam in Kampala by rerouting all cars to and from Southwestern Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania via the Entebbe Express way and beyond.
It's high time we began looking at permanent solutions to problems as opposed to incremental short-term solutions.
The world is not looking for experts to fight for freedom. Whoever and wherever you are, just stand up for your people. The world will join you. And God will be on your side. #WeAreRemovingaDictator
.@MinofHealthUG should be clear about the legal and illegal alcoholic levels in regards to vehicle drivers. Their recent statement leaves grounds for abuse of the law by traffic officers against uninformed drivers.

I am passionate about education due to its ability to transform people and society. I know the trials and tribulations of my constituents, and to see them triumph academically makes me just as happy.

Today I paid a visit to Kiwafu Moslem Primary School in Entebbe Municipality. Here I met brilliant young girls and boys who are eager to learn, play and enjoy a better Uganda than us, their parents.
We interacted about the challenges they face and as a Ssalongo, I counselled and guided them on how to avoid and overcome challenges like HIV, early sex, early pregnancies et al.
I concluded my visit with a donation of new curriculum textbooks, sports equipment and other material support to the school.
My campaign to foster literacy, identify talent and sensitize pupils in Entebbe Municipality continues.

๐งผ SOAP MADE IN ENTEBBE
Recently I interfaced with Nicholas Mawanga, a young entrepreneur who makes 'New Star' laundry and bathing soap from a small scale factory in #Entebbe. He gave me a tour of his factory and enticed me to try my hand at soap making. A unique experience indeed.
We discussed his plans for expanding the factory, the challenges he faces, and most importantly how I can help him as the area MP to achieve his dreams.
Many Uganda youth sit on their hands waiting for an office job that may never come. Young people like Nicholas embody the model youth that will drive our country forward; Innovative, Entrepreneurial and Hardworking.
As leaders, it is our duty to support such youth with all our ability for they are the future of our nation.

Today at Kasenyi Landing Site, we delivered the @NUP_Ug's and President @HEBobiwine's official condolence message to families who lost loved ones in the recent boat accident on Lake Victoria.

Marine Base Army Primary School is the 3rd best performing school in Entebbe Municipality per the latest Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) rankings. However, the school is encumbered by a series of issues ranging from lack of infrastructure, funding, & welfare. Today, I paid them a visit.

Bringing Makerere University to Karamoja Subregion, in particular Kotido District.
The community has positively welcomed the project of a modern transformative university project in Karamoja, and they have interpreted the project as bringing Makerere University within their reach. During the my trip to Karamoja for the launch of of Karamoja Peace And Technology University (#KAPATU), we encountered young people who asked us when KAPATU was starting because they have just completed primary level of education (Senior 6, Uganda Advanced Certificate Level) and cannot afford the travel and accommodation costs to Kampala and other regions. These students are among the many who are eagerly looking forward to the start of #KAPATU so that they can have an opportunity to continue their education and widen their horizons for the future. This expectation aligns with the message of Vice President of Uganda, H.E Jessica Alupo (@jessica_alupo), during the event of laying the foundation stone, which emphasized the importance of education first. @Makerere@CLASIOfficial@GovUganda@newvisionwire@DailyMonitor@ubctvuganda@KagutaMuseveni@JanetMuseveni
Tomorrow we will be in Kyaggwe to bury our Mother, Hajjat Madinah Mpimbo who passed away recently.
Hajjat Madinah has been the long-serving Chairperson of Nakiwogo Ani Yali Amanyi Charcoal Vendors Association. May Allah grant her paradise.
As the people of Entebbe, we grieve with our brothers and sisters who lost their loved ones in yesterday's tragic boat accident on Lake Victoria in Kalangala District.
The unfortunate loss of lives should task us to do more about Marine transport safety and rescue.
