I need every creator to read this today because I know someone will need it.
Your value is not tied to how much you make as a creator, the clients in your inbox, or how many likes you have on your content.
This career is a slippery slope to burnout if you don’t play it right.
Over the past few years I’ve gotten into the dangerous habit of tying my worth to my business
I would push myself to the limit every single month to make as much as possible because I thought It defined who I was
If I didn’t make my target goal I set for myself, I would feel immensely guilty and push myself harder
I felt like I meant nothing based off the number in my bank account
I beat myself up constantly for it
I would work during holidays, around family, I couldn’t enjoy anything.
I pulled more all nighters than I could count to manage my college work and my clients
Take it from me: it will never be enough to make you satisfied or proud of yourself for more than a week.
I’ve done the 10,20,30k months. It just made me raise the bar more.
This society makes it so easy to fall into the materialistic, needing to have tons of money, make 5+ figures every month,
It’s not healthy and it’s not accurate. It’s nice until you burn yourself out.
My entire life started to become my business, and I had no hobbies or balance.
After 3 years in this industry,
this is the year I decided to take my life back and realize that I am way more than the amount of money I make each month.
This is not to say that you shouldn’t strive to set goals, but you need to have balance.
The amount of money in your bank account will not change who you are at the end of the day.
I became so unhappy with how I was living because I would just work 24/7
I’m finally finding balance and improving my mental health. Heck, I should be proud of what I’ve done already at 21.
Now it’s time to make things happen the right way to make my business stronger and better,
How?
- setting systems to make passive income
- raising my rates to have less clients for the same money
- taking genuine days off without feeling guilty
- hiring a larger team
- starting new hobbies outside of work
- properly timing out my schedule for each client so I’m not filming every day
It’s easy at the start to be excited about this career path until it becomes your entire life (sometimes not in a good way).
It’s also easy to compare yourself to others all the time
So this is your lesson to please stop comparing yourself to everyone on the Internet and tying your worth to money on a screen
Make enough to what makes you happy, set new systems, and put your mental health first.

The way some 49ers fans are just conceding defeat to the Seahawks makes me sick.
Do some of you not remember the torture SEA put us through for years? SEA was the bane of SF’s existence from 2012-2018. We don’t concede shit to this team..EVER. It’s the principle of it.
The 9ers.. with No Bosa and No Fred for A LOT of the year.. were fighting for the #1 seed the last week of the season.. and now they have walked into The Linc and knocked off the world champs
