basically, the AI labs have realized that software development is the only real vertical where AI is useful right now

that's why everyone is targeting coding.

they won't say this, of course, as that would be a huge red signal to their investors

however if you think about it, developers are the only ones willing to pay $200/mo subscription for AI

whereas the average ChatGPT user is still on the Free version
